Another delay now seems very unlikely as CD Projekt Red officially announced the exact time PC gamers can preload “Cyberpunk 2077.” Meanwhile, the developer stayed true to its words and started going after posts that reveal gameplay content.
Here’s when ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ pre-load will be available
Some fans may have doubted CD Projekt’s ability to deliver “Cyberpunk 2077” this week, which is understandable given the multiple delays they experienced this year. However, the announcement of exact preload and release times worldwide is a good indication that there will not be another 11th-hour release date change on the horizon.
PC gamers, who bought “Cyberpunk 2077” on CD Projekt-owned GOG, can start the preload on Monday, Dec. 7, at 12 p.m. CET / 6 a.m. EST. Those who purchased the game through Steam and Epic Games Store will have to wait a few hours as the preload will not open until 5 p.m. CET / 11 a.m. EST on the same date for these platforms.
“Cyberpunk 2077” preload for consoles started early, especially on Xbox. The option has been available on Xbox consoles since Dec. 3 and PlayStation a couple of days later.
As for the exact times “Cyberpunk 2077” will go live, the much-awaited event is happening on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 1 a.m. CET. Due to the timezone differences, PC and Stadia gamers in the Americas will be getting the game early in their calendars. For these territories, the RPG goes live on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 4 p.m. PST / 7 p.m. EST / 6 p.m. CST. Console players, regardless of where they are in the world, will have full access to “Cyberpunk 2077” on Dec. 10 at midnight local time.
CD Projekt goes after early ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ gameplay posts
Last week, CD Projekt recognized that some fans who pre-ordered physical copies of “Cyberpunk 2077” are bound to receive the game much earlier than the developer would prefer. It then became inevitable for the game to be subjected to leaks and spoilers with several days left before launch.

Despite CD Projekt’s warning, spoiler and leak videos still immediately spread online. But the developer also delivered on its promise to go after these posts with copyright claims. As of this writing, some of the most followed posts on Reddit and on Twitter have already been taken down. However, since nothing ever really goes away on the internet “Cyberpunk 2077” fans who want to be surprised until Dec. 10 should still tread lightly when browsing online.
