Hesung Innovation Corp., which does business as DREO, is recalling 338,800 DR-HSH015 heaters in the United States and 36,288 in Canada after ignition reports, with eligible owners able to request a free replacement.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says the heaters may overheat and start fires, posing a burn risk. Its Oct. 29 notice covers units manufactured from April 2025 through January 2026. The model number and manufacture date are on a label beneath each heater. DREO says other heater models are outside the recall.
The recalled products are black ceramic electric heaters about 11.5 inches wide and 13 inches tall, sold with a remote control. They were available at Costco stores and through online retailers, including Dreo.com, BestBuy.com, Kohls.com, Lowes.com, QVC.com and HomeDepot.com, for $70 to $110. The CPSC lists sales from September 2025 through October 2026; Health Canada lists a sales period ending in August 2026.
DREO says it received 17 reports of heaters igniting, including three reports of property damage and one report of a hand burn. Its notice does not break those reports down by country. Health Canada separately said that, as of Oct. 22, the company had received 16 incident reports in the United States, including one injury report, and one Canadian report with no injury reported.
Owners should disconnect the heater and register with DREO to request a replacement. The process requires owners to cut the power cord and submit a photo of the disabled heater according to the company’s directions. DREO reviews submissions before arranging replacement shipments.
DREO lists the number 833-820-0887 for assistance, available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Consumers can also contact the company at spaceheater@realtimeresults.net.
