The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said Oct. 29 that Potpourri Group, Inc. is recalling about 8,709 Whatever Works microwave grillers because overheating could cause serious injuries or death.

The company reported three incidents in which grillers ignited, each resulting in a fire. CPSC said no injuries were reported. The recalled grills are rectangular, with white plastic bodies, side locking clips, rear hinges and two black metal plates with nonstick surfaces. Model K4001 appears on the purchase receipt.

Whateverworks.com sold the grills for about $22 between January 2025 and June 2026. Potpourri Group is based in Billerica, Massachusetts, and the grillers were made in Taiwan.

Owners should stop using the grills and contact Whatever Works for a full refund. To arrange a return, customers must write “Recalled” on the grill in permanent marker and email a photo to recall@whateverworks.com. The company will provide a prepaid return label.

The phone line, 877-756-5053, is staffed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Customers can email help@whateverworks.com or find recall details at Whateverworks.com/recall.
