Many fans of the “Fifty Shades” movie series might still be wondering what if Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan end up together in real life. However, they are advised to face the reality that these actors are actually happy with their relationships. Recent reports even suggest that the “Suspiria” star could soon be engaged with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
To those who do not know, Dornan has been married to actress-musician Amelia Warner since 2010 — years before the first “Fifty Shades” movie with Johnson premiered. In fact, the couple had just welcomed their third baby a few weeks ago.
On the other hand, dating rumors between Johnson and Martin started in October 2017 when they were reportedly seen dining together at a sushi restaurant. More photos of them together were published in the following months but Dornan’s former co-star never talks about her relationship status publicly.
In 2018, Johnson was asked by Tatler magazine about Martin. But, as expected, she kindly declined to talk about it. "I'm not going to talk about it," Johnson said (via E! News). "But I am very happy."
Aside from not talking about their relationship in public, Johnson and Martin are also rarely seen together. Fans can observe that most of their photos together were apparently taken by eyewitnesses. However, the two had obviously made an exception recently.

Meanwhile, a source of PEOPLE also revealed that Johnson and Martin make time to be with each other despite the former’s work schedule. “Dakota has been filming out of state, but most weekends she comes back to Malibu to spend time with Chris,” said the insider.
Another source told E! News that Johnson and Martin are getting more serious about their relationship that “an engagement could definitely be in the cards.” The same report also mentioned that the actress has built a good rapport with the band vocalist’s children and his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
