Dakota Johnson recently talked about her role in the “Fifty Shades” movie franchise and she revealed that she has no regrets with doing the raunchy films that are known for their intense sex scenes. The 29-year-old actress added if they will go back to the past and she was offered the role, she definitely would love to do it again with Jamie Dornan.
Dakota Johnson opened up about her doing “Fifty Shades” with Jamie Dornan and according to The Daily Mail, the actress told BW Magazine, “It wasn't mindless work. I was interested in it and I respected it.”
She added that being associated with the provocative films is not something she is embarrassed about. She clearly did not regret it when she further said, “I'm proud of those films and I don't feel like I need to break free from them. If I were back in my circumstances before those movies, I would for sure do them again.”
Jamie Dornan’s “Fifty Shades” co-star explained that the said movie trilogy changed her life because starring in them really launched her career. It gave her the biggest break she has been waiting for and led her career to where it is now – at “a really incredible place.”
The actress also said that apart from being a big help to her career, the “Fifty Shades” movies also taught her a lot. She learned and grown from them despite the obstacles that came her way while doing the films. Dakota said that she is more resilient now and that’s thanks to the E.L. James’ erotic romance novels that were made into movies.
On the other hand, Jamie Dornan seems to want to move on from “Fifty Shades” and avoid doing the same type of role in the future. This is because he wants to star in something that his kids can watch. In fact, one of his projects now is a voice role in “Trolls 2.”
"I've played a lot of creepy characters so my kids can't watch anything I'd done,” Express quoted the actor as saying. “So I basically begged Universal to give me a part. I loved it and it was an amazing experience, but doing voice over made me very uncomfortable."
Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are starring in a few movies after the “Fifty Shades” trilogy. Aside from “Trolls 2,” the former is going to be seen next in “Robin Hood” which will be released on Nov. 21 while the latter is currently promoting “Suspiria” which will arrive in theaters in the U.K. on Nov. 16.
