SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 17, 2017 -- Degreed, the world’s first career-long skills-building platform, today announced TJ Williams, formerly Head of Sales, Americas at Dropbox and Google for Work, will be joining the company as Chief Sales Officer. With over 17 years experience managing sales, Williams will build the foundation for the company’s next stage of growth.
Williams starts this new position immediately following Degreed’s strongest sales quarter ever. In the last three months, Degreed added dozens of new companies to their client list including Unilever, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Booz Allen Hamilton, Ameriprise and Capgemini, among others.
“TJ is joining us at a big inflection point in Degreed’s growth and momentum,” said David Blake, CEO of Degreed. “We’ve acquired more clients and partners in the last quarter than any previously. Under TJ’s sales leadership we believe this growth will continue to accelerate. His Dropbox and Google experience aligns to the consumerization-of-enterprise approach Degreed is bringing to learning and development. We’re thrilled to have TJ accept the position as Degreed’s Chief Sales Officer.”
Williams joins Degreed on the heels of last month’s launch of Degreed Skill Certification. Degreed Skill Certification is the world’s first system to rate and validate people’s expertise in more than 1,500 skills, using a peer and psychometrician reviewed system. Since the launch, 640 people have started applications across a range of the 1,500 skills available, while dozens of clients have begun work to make Skill Certification a consideration in their talent processes.
“This is an exciting time to join Degreed, with the recent Skill Certification launch and record breaking sales results,” said TJ Williams, Chief Sales Officer. “I look forward to driving more client acquisitions, deepening client relationships, and ensuring continued customer satisfaction with Degreed’s award winning skills-building and learning products.”
