MONTREAL, Feb. 26, 2018 -- Delmar International Inc. (www.delmar.ca), which provides freight forwarding, customs brokerage, commercial cargo transportation and logistics services globally, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its China subsidiary February 28, 2018 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Shanghai.
More than 300 guests are expected to attend the gala event including senior Delmar executives from across the world, its key global agent partners and senior representatives from the air, ocean and ground carrier communities. Dave Murphy, the Senior Trade Commissioner for the Canadian Embassy in China, has been invited to attend as well. Delmar now has 10 offices in China and operations in Hong Kong, bringing together nearly 300 employees.
“I am so very proud of the exceptional growth we have experienced in just over a decade in China,” stated Robert H. Cutler, CEO of the Delmar Group. “I wish to commend our excellent team on the ground, led by Alex Wang, Managing Director and President. From one office in Qingdao in 2007, it is remarkable what has been accomplished.”
Mr. Cutler felt it was important to not only celebrate 10 years of success, but to bring senior management from across the globe to Shanghai to underline the fact that Delmar plans to increase its presence in the country with the world’s largest economy. The event will be augmented with a full three day agenda to allow for opportunities to address future global plans and permit many individual exchanges with VIP global partners.
Delmar Chief Operating Officer, Michael Wagen, stated that in 2017 Delmar China handled over 100,000 ocean containers globally, in addition to over 10 million kilos of international airfreight. “Our strategies resulted in remarkable growth since the inception of Delmar China and we are forecasting continued double digit growth year over year into the foreseeable future,” he said.
