‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ chapter 198: Muzan unable to escape as sunrise arrives

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba / Facebook

The thing that Muzan fears the most will happen in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198. Despite all of his efforts, the most powerful demon remains entangled in the battlefield and unable to escape until dawn arrives.

“Demon Slayer” chapter 198 is yet to officially arrive but scans have already made their way online. Based on these spoilers, Muzan will become desperate knowing that the clock is ticking as it’s only minutes away before the sun rises.

Just as previous “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198 spoilers by Econotimes have predicted, more Hashiras will recover enough strength to battle against Muzan once more. The Water Pillar Giyu Tomioka, as well as the Wind Pillar Sanemi Shinazugawa, will be back to engage Muzan in a fight.

Meanwhile, Love Pillar Mitsuri Kanroji will be back as well. Fans previously worried about what Obanai’s condition was after Muzan’s Blood Demon arts attack in the previous chapter can rest easy for the moment. It turns out that he is fine and will, in fact, help Tanjiro recover in “Demon Slayer” chapter 198.

But Obanai’s luck won’t last for long. Perhaps as a last-ditch effort to escape the Hashiras surrounding him, Muzan will transform into what is described as vore mode. It’s not exactly clear what this vore mode does but it will likely give the demon a temporary power boost.

And it might be effective. In fact, some people believe Iguro might die in his fight against Muzan based on the untranslated scans. However, some eagle-eyed fans pointed out that Iguro will be saved by the Wind Pillar Sanemi.

“It looks like Sanemi saved him,” Mangahelpers user Kawap1 wrote on the site. “He might be out of commission though. Good to see love and Sanemi back though. Plus inouske and Zeni are still fighting. Giyuu, stoned and maybe Kanao should arrive soon. Even through they’re all fucked up; so is Muzan and they outnumber him heavy.”

Whatever vore mode is, it will not be not enough for Muzan to make his escape. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198 will end with the sun finally rising as Muzan is still out battling the Hashiras.
