Direxion said Oct. 29 it plans two leveraged exchange-traded funds tied to Anthropic’s proposed IPO, giving traders bullish and bearish exposure to the AI company’s daily share moves if its Class A shares begin trading.

The Direxion Daily Anthropic Bull 2X ETF (ANTO) would seek 200% of the shares’ daily performance before fees and expenses. The Direxion Daily Anthropic Bear 2X ETF (ANTD) would target 200% of the inverse daily move. Direxion says those objectives apply to daily performance, and returns over longer holding periods may differ from the stated multiples.

The funds could begin trading once Anthropic Class A shares are trading, provided the offering is completed and the ETFs’ registration statements become effective. Direxion has not announced a calendar launch date. Chief Product Officer Mo Sparks said, “We plan to have ANTO and ANTD trading the first session after Anthropic goes public.”

Anthropic, the company behind Claude, filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Oct. 26. It proposed listing Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under ticker ANT. The filing leaves the number of shares to be offered and the price range blank.

For the six months ended June 30, Anthropic reported revenue of $16.286 billion, compared with $1.163 billion in the same period a year earlier. Its operating loss narrowed to $693 million from $2.1 billion.

Direxion describes the ETFs as products for investors who understand leverage and actively monitor their positions, and warns that investors can lose money. The funds’ launch depends on completion of Anthropic’s offering and effectiveness of their registration statements.
