'Domestic Girlfriend' season 2 release date, spoilers: Will Natsuo end up with Rui?

“Domestic Girlfriend” may not have action-packed fight scenes, but it does feature an epic love triangle. And that battle of love will continue in “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2 with Natsuo caught in the middle of his two love interests who also happens to be his step-sisters.

For a brief recap, Natsuo has been secretly in love with one of his teachers named Hina. But, one day when he went to a mixer meet-up, he met a girl named Rui. She ended up to be the first woman Natsuo made love with. A couple of days later, Natsuo learned that these girls are the daughters of his father’s new wife, and now they all live under the same roof. These level craziness will only escalate in “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2 as Rui finally stopped tiptoeing and decided to fight for her feelings towards Natsuo.

Needless to say, there are many complications that Natsuo has to consider whether she chooses to be with Rui or Hina. However, the younger sister revealed before season 1 ended that she had only been controlling her feelings for Natsuo because she is considering Hina. But Rui has since vowed she would be more aggressive, an attitude that fans should expect from her in “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2.

However, that does not guarantee a relationship with Natsuo. Despite the complications, Natsuo still obviously likes Hina. But with Rui being more resolved about wanting to be with Natsuo, it would not be surprising if he later changes preferences. After all, he has a more physical and intimate connection with Rui than with Hina.

Judging from where season 1 ended, “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2 will most likely open with a scene from the future where Natsuo is already married. As with the manga, the scenes will suggest that she ended up marrying either Rui or Hina because he feels hesitant about writing about how he met his wife. However, this mystery has yet to be answered even in the source material, so the possibilities remain endless.

Unfortunately, “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2 has not been confirmed yet. This means there is no way of knowing at this point when the new episodes will arrive.
