Donald Trump’s eldest son Don Jr. has lately been on the very visible receiving end of ridicule and criticism for targeting the Bidens and every candidate going up against his father. After his remarks on former vice president Joe Biden’s mental state, people on social media did not hesitate to snap back at him.
Don Jr. took to Twitter to share a video of Biden talking to someone who thought that the presidential candidate was trying to take back the second amendment or the right to bear and keep arms. Biden had some heated words as a response to the person, and Don Jr. retweeted the tweet, captioning it with, “From the Alzheimer’s association webpage, “Aggressive or angry behaviors may occur in people with Alzheimer’s or other dementias.” A 50-year career politician doesn’t snap back this way to a blue-collar guy asking him a reasonable question given his parties’ stance on the issue.”
Although the video does not show Biden in a good light given his response to the accusation thrown at him, the public on social media was quick to respond, pointing out how his father behaves the same way and much more frequently than Biden in that clip. “Your father can barely talk,” said one commenter.
Radio show host Dean Obeidallah also responded to Don Jr. “In the future, the word “Trump” will be used as a shorthand way to describe a person who is an incompetent, lying, cruel sociopath.”
Another commenter responded with a friendly warning to Don Jr. saying, “Buddy this is a can of worms you ought not (to) open.”
This is only the latest situation that Don Jr. has received backlash as he previously targeted Biden’s son Hunter once again, challenging him to a debate as to who has profited off of their fathers’ position. Neither of them is running for public office, but Don Jr. is daring Hunter to “man up and debate” him while Axios’ Jim VandeHei serves as the moderator. “Hunter releases his tax returns & I release mine. Let’s have an open convo about who really profited off their father’s public office!”
Many users responded to his challenge, pointing out Hunter’s achievements as well as asking that the entire Trump family release their tax returns as the Bidens have released theirs.
