“Dragon Ball Heroes” Episode 5 will be the final one for the fan-service anime as Goku and Vegeta struggle to put down the Evil Saiyan Cumber once and for all. The previous episodes already portrayed that both these protagonists alone aren’t enough to contain the strength of Cumber even with their immense power at their disposal, OtakuKart reported.
Indeed, even with Goku blasting the ape-form Cumber with a 20-fold Kaioken, the attack didn’t even scratch the Evil Saiyan. Fortunately, Fu intervened and reduced Cumber to his base form. But even in this state, Goku and Vegeta still couldn’t keep up against Cumber’s seemingly endless power. As such, Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta will come to the Prison Planet in “Dragon Ball Heroes” Episode 5 to lend a helping a hand.
What’s more, these characters will not be fighting side by side but will rather fuse using the Potara earrings to bring forth Super Saiyan 4 Vegito. It goes without saying that this will be an interesting match-up to witness and is something that has been widely speculated on in forums for a while. The question now becomes: Is “Dragon Ball Heroes” Episode 5 going to be considered canon at this point?
The safest answer is no. While “Dragon Ball Heroes” Episode 5 does portray a lot of characters in the franchise’s universe, the whole series is actually a promotional stunt for Bandai’s Japanese trading card game “Dragon Ball Heroes.”
This very fact left a bad taste in the mouth of some fans, particularly those who are avid followers of the franchise. They argued that since the show is promotion-driven, it is detrimental to the franchise as a whole as it’s prioritizing the product rather than the quality of the show. Indeed, this has already been observed in the series.
Whatever the case, the fan-service anime is already ending and it was interesting to see all these matchups actually being put forward. “Dragon Ball Heroes” Episode 5 is slated to air on Oct. 28, with the conflict between Cumber and the rest of the group coming to an explosive ending.
