Dusit is set to open two hotels in Bangkok, and its first hotel in Japan. within the next few weeks.
Located on Si Phraya Road in Bangkok’s central business district, the dusitD2 Samyan Bangkok, the group’s first dusitD2 branded hotel in the city, t will soft open on May 12.
It comprises 179 guest rooms, a fitness center, versatile meeting and event space, an outdoor swimming pool, and a multi-level F&B concept featuring an all-day dining restaurant with an open kitchen, and a Miami-inspired rooftop bar called Mimi serving burgers, shakes, craft beers and cocktails.
On May 15, Dusit will mark the official expansion of its distinctive lifestyle brand, Asai Hotels, with the opening of the Asai Bangkok Sathorn near Bangkok’s central business district and just a five-minute walk from Saint Louis BTS (Skytrain) Station.
Asai Bangkok features 106 rooms, a communal space that features a cozy neighborhood bar, a co-working area, and a unique dining experience specializing in authentic Thai cuisine crafted from seasonal and sustainable ingredients.
On June 1, Dusit will open its first hotel in Japan, the Asai Kyoto Shijo, located in the heart of the Shijo-Karasuma neighborhood, near the famous Nishiki Market in the city’s renowned downtown area.
Alongside 114 rooms, Asai Kyoto Shijo will feature a large communal hub for work, rest, and play, and a dining room inspired by the rich street-food culture of Bangkok.
According to Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer, Dusit International, the openings represent significant milestones for their company, and they are confident that their unique positioning and distinctive lifestyle and food and beverage experiences will resonate with travelers from around the world.
With an additional nine hotels set to open globally before the end of the year, including Dusit’s first entry into Nepal, a second hotel in Japan, and a strategic return to India, Dusit will add 62 hotels across 18 countries worldwide by year-end.
