HONG KONG and LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27, 2017 -- Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has announced that spectacular enhancements of the internationally-acclaimed A Symphony of Lights show will illuminate the sky over Hong Kong's iconic Victoria Harbour beginning December 1, 2017. The reimagined light show, free for general viewing, will dazzle audiences at 8 p.m. (HK) each night with a stunning new musical score set against innovative lighting effects for a thrilling sound-and-light experience.

For the first time, the 10-minute multimedia lightshow will feature colored searchlights and laser and beam lights sent out in rhythm from more than 40 buildings and sites on both sides of the harbor. LED panels on harborside buildings will display interactive images and messages to encourage audience participation, while accompanying music from the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Asia's leading classical orchestra, plays concurrently with the light show.
Organized by HKTB in 2004, A Symphony of Lights is recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest permanent light and sound show. Travelers can enjoy the show free of charge from various vantage points, including the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront outside the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and the promenade outside the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai. Harbor cruises are also available to book and offer dramatic viewpoints of the colorful show from the famous Victoria Harbour. The celebrated light show operates daily (weather permitting) beginning at 8 p.m. (HK), with each show running for 10 minutes.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) will stream the premiere showing on Discover Hong Kong's Facebook and YouTube page at 7 a.m. EST / 4 a.m. PST.
