EPRI Announces Changes to the Board of Directors

PALO ALTO, Calif., April 8, 2016 -- The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) announced today the appointment of six new members who will serve four-year terms, the elevation of three interim directors to four-year terms, and a new interim appointment to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors. The appointments are effective immediately.

New EPRI Board members:

Lord John Mogg is President of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) and Chair of Board of Regulators of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).

Rod West is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Entergy.

Pedro J. Pizarro is President and a member of the board of Southern California Edison (SCE).
 
Allen L. Leverett will become President and CEO of WEC Energy Group on May 1. 

Kenneth W. Cornew is President and CEO of Exelon Generation.

Terry Bassham is Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Great Plains Energy and Kansas City Power and Light.

Former interim members who will now serve full Board terms:

Jeffrey Lyash is President and CEO of OPG (Ontario Power Generation). He had previously served on the Board from 2010 to 2014 during his tenure as Executive Vice President of Energy Supply of Duke Energy. 

Thava Govender is Group Executive for Transmission and Sustainability at Eskom Holdings.
  
Thomas J. Heller is Chief Executive Officer of Missouri River Energy Services (MRES).

New interim Board member:

Nick Brown is President and CEO of SPP (Southwest Power Pool) and a member of its Board of Directors. He previously served on the EPRI Board from 2005 to 2009.
