CONCORD, Calif., March 29, 2016 -- East Bay Sports Medicine has joined Muir Orthopaedic Specialists to provide a larger network of service offerings to the Bay Area community. Practicing under the Muir Orthopaedic Specialists (MOS) name, East Bay Sports Medicine’s (EBSM’s) office location in Concord adds a fifth MOS location to their footprint in the East Bay area, which already includes Walnut Creek, San Ramon and Brentwood.
“Both of our groups have been serving this community for a long time. East Bay Sports Medicine was founded in 1997 and Muir Orthopaedic Specialists was founded in 2001,” said Dr. Ramiro Miranda, president of Muir Orthopaedic Specialists. “It’s a good match both culturally and philosophically.”
MOS patients will benefit from the knowledge and experience of EBSM’s four orthopaedic surgeons. EBSM’s Drs. John Merson, Michael Sacco, Bradley Crow and Semon Bader who specialize in general orthopedic and knee conditions, upper extremities (shoulder, wrist, elbow and hand), lower extremities (knee and hip) and joint preservation, respectively. The EBSM doctors will continue to see their patients at the Concord location.
“We are pleased to be a part of MOS,” said Dr. Sacco, orthopedic hand surgeon at EBSM. “Both of our groups have the same goal in mind, which is delivering the best patient care possible.”
The EBSM doctors and their specialties will complement MOS’ team of 30 physicians covering all aspects of musculoskeletal services including physiatry, primary care sports medicine, imaging services such as MRI and digital X-rays, physical therapy and hand therapy.
