GREENVILLE, N.C., Sept. 01, 2016 -- Game Plan, the comprehensive student-athlete development platform that unifies and aligns athletic departments, athletes, and employers, is excited to announce the addition of the East Carolina University (ECU) as one of its newest college athletic department customers. ECU will launch Game Plan as a foundational piece of its student-athlete development program starting this September.
Through Game Plan, East Carolina University will integrate Game Plan’s own eLearning modules and personality assessments, as well as its new Career Marketplace and Recruiter features into its student-athlete programs to provide its student-athletes with new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
“We’re excited to work with a local company like Game Plan to provide our student-athletes with more career opportunities and also new, dynamic ways to prepare them for life after college and in the workplace,” said Michael Hanley Associate Athletics Director/Student Services at ECU. “Being able to offer an innovative way for our student-athletes to reach a variety of high-quality employers nationwide is important to us.”
“We can throw a stone and hit ECU’s campus and have hired many of their student-athletes,” said Vin McCaffrey, CEO and founder of Game Plan. “This is a breakthrough on many levels. For the student-athletes, ECU has the ability to reach and support them now, more than ever. And as a department, they are truly breaking down silos across the department to provide the best opportunities and resources for their student-athletes.”
Game Plan is an innovative platform that connects student-athletes with their many stakeholders to maximize their academic and professional development. Game Plan offers over 40 student-athlete eLearning modules, as well as personal and professional development assessments to help individuals identify and pursue their personal interests and strengths. In addition, Game Plan connects top employers and corporate sponsors with student-athletes through its online Career Marketplace to improve career outcomes.
