TEL AVIV, Israel, March 17, 2016 -- Elbit Imaging Ltd. ("Company") (TASE:EMITF) (NASDAQ:EMITF) announced today that it has received a written proposal from the independent committee of its subsidiary, Elbit Medical Technologies Ltd. to convert all the outstanding debts of Elbit Medical to the Company, which as of today amount to approximately NIS 146 million ($37.9 million) into Elbit Medical's shares (the "Proposal").
The Proposal and its terms, shall be considered by the Company's authorized organs (including its independent committee) in accordance with the applicable law. The Company will publish an immediate report of its decisions with respect to the Proposal, as required by the applicable law.
