Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi divorce rumors: Postponed move to Australia, ‘The Ellen Show' renewal causing marital problems?

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have been some of the celebrities that appear regularly on several tabloids with unpleasant reports thrown at them. In recent weeks and months, the couple has been repeatedly rumored having serious marital issues for several reasons.

Ellen and Portia celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in August. The “Finding Dory” star shared that moment with her more than 77.5 million Instagram followers by sharing a candid photo from their wedding day. In the caption, Ellen wrote, “Happy anniversary, Portia. 11 years. My favorite number with my favorite person.”

However, not even that lovely message and tribute to their marriage shared to fans was able to stop rumors from getting published. Sources of various celeb news outlets claimed that Ellen and Portia has been having a rocky marriage and one of the reasons cited was their supposed plan to move and live in Australia.

The “Arrested Development” alum was allegedly disappointed at Ellen for refusing to retire from Hollywood so they can move to Australia. It should be noted that this is not the first time this story was published. In early 2017, Ellen and Portia were rumored moving to Australia after reportedly taking an interest in buying a mansion in Victoria.

Earlier this year, Ellen and Portia were also rumored having marital problems because the latter reportedly wants her wife to quit from her TV show. While Portia did explain in a New York Times interview that she hopes Ellen could use her creativity on other endeavors, it did not seem like she was forcing her to leave the show. But it still became the grounds for divorce rumors in the following months.

Ellen and Portia may never pay attention to these kinds of tabloid stories, but note that these rumors were never proven. They also appear to conflict with the obvious, for example, it seems unlikely for Portia to insist on moving to Australia for good when she has a fairly new company based in the United States.

Despite the endless rumors that Ellen and Portia are getting divorced, the couple appears to be happy with their life together. Though they have previously mentioned not planning to have a child, they do take care of several animals in their home.

Ellen recently shared to her viewers about their experience in adopting the latest addition to their family, a rescue puppy they named Mrs. Wallis Browning. Portia’s wife gushed over the cute puppy on her show and even shared the countless photos she took of Wallis and joked that she eventually needed to get a new phone.
