Located at 101 Pennsylvania Avenue, the facility is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2017 and will include 75,000 square feet of medical office space and 90,000 square feet for parking. The facility is expected to receive over 100,000 patient visits annually, giving the community access to one of the most advanced medical facilities in New York City with a focus on primary care and wellness. There will be a convenient onsite pharmacy and the latest technology to support a portable electronic record to ensure that patients have their medical information when they need it.
Community leaders and elected officials attended today’s event where they discussed the health care challenges facing the neighborhood and the urgency of expanding access to their local residents.
“EmblemHealth and ACPNY are committed to initiatives that drive change by investing in our communities, breaking down barriers to care, and offering programs that improve health,” said Karen Ignagni, President and CEO of EmblemHealth. “This new site will bring the convenient, high-quality and affordable care to the residents of East New York that families living in other areas enjoy.”
“The doctors, nurses and care teams at AdvantageCare Physicians are proud to be a part of East New York, and we’re invested in the health of its residents as well as their access to care; we look forward to working with the community and helping to encourage better health outcomes,” said Dr. Navarra Rodriguez, President and Chief Medical Officer of AdvantageCare Physicians.
