NEEDHAM, Mass., April 25, 2018 -- Enservio, Inc., a Solera owned company, today announced its line-up of visionary thinkers and world renowned speakers for its 12th annual Property Innovation Summit to be held April 30 to May 2 at the Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, FL. The invitation-only event is the premier property insurance thought leadership conference, bringing together an exclusive group of 150 senior insurance P/C executives from the nation's leading insurance carriers for two days of networking, idea sharing and executive thought leadership.
“The Future of Exponential Technology” is the topic of Tuesday’s keynote by Neil Jacobstein, chairman of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Track at Singularity University. Jacobstein will examine technology innovation, disruption and real-world applications of AI. Jacobstein is a distinguished visiting scholar in the Stanford University Media X Program, conducting research on augmented decision systems.
Wednesday’s (Day 2) keynote, “Cybersecurity in the Age of Espionage” will be presented by security consultant and attorney Eric O'Neill of Washington D.C.-based The Georgetown Group. In 2001, he helped capture the most notorious spy in US history: Robert Hanssen, a 25-year FBI veteran. The remarkable true events of his life are recounted in the critically acclaimed thriller, Breach. O’Neill began his career in the FBI as a “ghost” – an undercover field operative tasked to survey and monitor foreign, national, and domestic terrorists and spies.
Also speaking on Day 1 is Dr. Tricia Wang, a global technology ethnographer who will discuss “Human Insights Missing from Big Data.” As cofounder of Sudden Compass, Dr. Wang helps companies innovate and grow by integrating big data — all that you know about your customers and your market — with thick data, the human element that is invisible to quantitative data analysis.
Lemonade cofounder and board member Ty Sagalow, CEO/founder of Innovation Insurance Group, will follow with a speech related to InsurTech. A 36-year insurance veteran, Sagalow spent most of his career at AIG, holding various positions including Chief Underwriting Officer and General Counsel of AIG Executive Liability. He was formerly Chief Innovation Officer of Zurich North American and Chief Innovation Officer of Tower Group.
Ending Day 1 will be NASA Astronaut Mike Massimino, now Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University. The first person to tweet from space and a four-time spacewalker on two missions to the Hubble Space Telescope, Massimino will discuss leadership in the face of adversity.
Day 2 speakers at Property Innovation Summit include Paul Carroll, Editor-in-Chief of Insurance Thought Leadership. He was previously a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, which nominated him twice for the Pulitzer Prize. His books include “Big Blues: The Unmaking of IBM,” “Billion Dollar Lessons” and “The New Killer Apps: How Large Companies Can Out-Innovate Start-ups.”
Speaking on "Winning in the Age of Disruption" will be Jake Wood, co-founder and CEO of Team Rubicon, a nonprofit group that mobilizes military veterans to serve as disaster response teams. Team Rubicon has responded to over 100 disasters and grown from eight to 35,000 members. As a sergeant in the Marine Corps, he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as a Scout Sniper and earned the Navy-Marine Commendation Medal.
