The past days have been packed with major gaming events such as Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and the EA Play convention. As expected, the announcement of “FIFA 20” was one of the headlines in these events. Shortly after it was officially confirmed, pre-orders for its standard and special editions were made available by EA Sports.
Per tradition, buying a game early normally entitles players to several exclusive perks even if they are only purchasing the standard edition. The base edition of “FIFA 20” is now available for $59.99 and can be purchased for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It comes with three Ultimate Team Rare Gold Packs that can be accessed one each per week. There is also one free mid-version Loan Icon Player Pick that can be used on FUT Matches.
There are higher priced bundles available for pre-order, but they also come with much more free digital contents and exclusive offers. For “FIFA 20,” these are called the Champions Edition and the Ultimate Edition.
The “FIFA 20” Champions Edition is priced at $79.99 and comes with the same mid-version Loan Icon Player Pick freebie and many more. Instead of three Ultimate Team Rare Gold Packs, players buying this edition will get a total of 12 to be dispensed one per week, too. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Edition sells at $99.99 has 24 free Ultimate Team Rare Gold Packs, and two of which can be accessed every week. It also offers an Untradeable FUT 20 Ones To Watch Player Item and one mid-version Loan Icon Player Pick.
All three pre-order packages come with Special Edition FUT Kits. The Champions and Ultimate Edition allows players to access “FIFA 20” on Sept. 24 or three days earlier than the official release date on Sept. 27. But note that the Ultimate Edition is only available until Aug. 5 while all pre-order bundles are only on PC via EA’s Origin, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A streamlined version of the game will launch on Nintendo Switch.
