The production of “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” will soon take a spike as “Kingdom Hearts 3” has reportedly been finished by Square Enix, Daily Star reported. Game director Tetsuya Nomura said that their team has been split in half to ensure that the quality of both titles is closely monitored.
But since “Kingdom Hearts 3” is now done, Tetsuya and the developers over at Square Enix will be focusing more on “Final Fantasy VII: Remake.” There has been a lot of talk about the game recently although the discussions aren’t all positive.
One of the things that fans are complaining about is that “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” will not have an Action Time Battle (ATB). Instead, Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that the game will be given a real-time battle system mechanics.
"The original version had random encounters, and such parts were in the realm of imagination, but since this title is seamless and you see the path that you're infiltrating, I decided it was necessary for the sake of realism,” Tetsuya Nomura said. The ATB system is one of the most unique battle mechanics in the gaming community and has played a huge part in the success of the previous title. Aside from this, nothing is known about what’s going to be included in “Final Fantasy VII: Remake.”
Hopefully, Tetsuya unveils new information soon as news about this reimagining has been scarce lately. The trailer of “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” has little to offer and only featured a few gameplay mechanics where Cloud was battling a few guards in the streets of Midgar.
As for how large the map will be, it seems that “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” will provide gamers with a lot of locations to explore. This fact is supposedly the reason why Square Enix is opting to release the game episodically. While the developers haven’t announced anything yet, “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” is speculated for release sometime around 2020.
