Square Enix is planning on introducing a multiplayer mode to its Final Fantasy XV title, which would make it the first single-player installment to also offer such a feature. It wouldn’t be the first game in the franchise to offer multiplayer, of course since FFXI and FFIV are both MMORPGs. As such, it’s worth looking at every aspect of this upcoming option for any Final Fantasy fan.
In a recent beta, Square allowed testers to check out its FFXV Comrades DLC. A second test is scheduled for August 11th, which will run until the 13th, the company announced via Twitter. This is due to the difficulties that players ran into during the first round of beta tests, which included not having access to the content.

On that note, this still does not explain what players can expect from this upcoming DLC. As Siliconera notes, one of the biggest aspects of the content is being able to customize characters that players can use.
In the multiplayer DLC, players can choose between male and female characters. From there, they can change the physical appearance of the characters, including the eyes, lips, nose, and hair. This makes Comrades much closer to the types of Western RPGs that gamers are becoming increasingly accustomed to such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Dragon Age.
Once players finally get around to creating their avatar, they can join a four-man team, which can be comprised of human players or AIs. The teams will then undertake certain missions, Tech Times reports, which can include killing monsters or escorting assets. The characters are also part of the elite team called Kingsglaive, which allows them to use warp skills and the same weapons used by Prince Noctis.
