Get Ready for Halloween with the Spooky Nike Dunk Low Featuring a Molded Skull Design
The upcoming Halloween season promises an exciting lineup of sneaker releases, including the Dunk Low “Black Spider-Man” and the Nike JA 2 from various brands. The Nike Kobe 5 “X-Ray” stands out with its skeletal theme, but a new Dunk Low might surpass it.
First-look images, shared by @masterchefian, showcase a Volt/Black/Cargo Khaki colorway with a cracked leather texture on the bright yellow overlay. According to Sneaker News, the underlays, midsole, and patterned insoles feature a spooky, weathered black, complemented by jeweled Swoosh and gum soles. However, the most striking detail is the molded skull at the toe box, giving the appearance of the undead breaking through the shoe’s surface.
Full release details, pricing, and a product SKU have yet to be made available, but the release is expected in October, just in time for Halloween.

The NBA’s Dunk Contest was once the premier stage for sneaker brands to shine, with legends like Michael Jordan and Dee Brown catapulting their respective brands into the spotlight through iconic performances. In 2000, Vince Carter delivered perhaps the most excellent Dunk Contest performance ever, wearing the AND1 Tai Chi, a shoe that became a cult classic.
Tai Chi’s rise to fame was mainly due to chance; just months before, Vince Carter ended his deal with PUMA and eventually signed with Nike to lead the Shox franchise. During this transitional period, he wore the Tai Chi from the up-and-coming AND1 brand, which quickly became one of the most popular basketball labels.
Although Tai Chi’s association with Vince Carter was brief, it remains one of history's most significant basketball shoes. Known for its bold two-toned color-blocking, the Tai Chi was worn by stars like Stephon Marbury, Kevin Garnett, and Jason Williams in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
