The studio behind “Food Wars” Season 4 is J.C. Staff, which also happens to be the same folks handling “One Punch Man” Season 2. The food battle anime has attracted a lot of positive attention due to the quality of the animation and the art style depicting the various dishes. However, the superhero project’s first trailer has not gone over well with fans. Will the former’s standing suffer as a result of the latter?
As Business Times notes, “Food Wars” Season 4 has already been confirmed to hit the small screen in the future. However, the actual premiere period of when the anime will return has yet to be revealed. This has resulted in many speculations with regards to the series, including how it might come out in the summer of this year.
On that note, it’s worth pointing out that “Food Wars” Season 4 and “One Punch Man” Season 2 are two completely separate entities that just happen to be under the same animation studio. The former has always featured the most gorgeous art styles, which was to be expected from a food show. The anime featuring the bald OP character also had an amazingly beautiful first season. Unfortunately, it would seem that the second outing is not going to even come close to matching it.
So, the question now is how the eventual criticisms directed at “One Punch Man” Season 2 is going to affect “Food Wars” Season 4. In an ideal world, it shouldn’t have any effect at all since they have nothing to do with each other. However, there are always going to be misguided souls who will take out their frustrations in anything they can. This could then result in a call to boycott all of J.C. Staff’s anime.
For now, this is nothing more than speculation and it would be best if it stayed that way. If not, “Food Wars” Season 4 could be in for a storm of vitriol.
