SAN JOSE, Calif., April 11, 2018 -- ForeScout Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSCT), a leading Internet of Things (IoT) security company, today announced an agreement with KPMG LLP in which the firm will serve as a certified system integrator of ForeScout’s solutions and provide business partners and customers with a secure and seamless experience as they undergo digital transformations. Broadening its global strategic alliance network with the addition of KPMG, the agreement enables ForeScout to expand its reach and even better serve enterprises’ complex needs for visibility and control of network-connected devices to reduce security risk and improve compliance. KPMG brings extensive cybersecurity experience to support product implementation, process development and system integration for the full suite of ForeScout’s flexible, large-scale network visibility, security and automation solutions.
“With the explosion of network-connected IoT devices, the number of corporate unmanaged devices can far exceed that of managed ones and thereby create a widening visibility gap and a security and compliance risk for enterprises around the world,” said Pedro Abreu, senior vice president and chief strategy officer, ForeScout. “With extensive networking and cybersecurity experience, KPMG will consult with customers and help maximize their ForeScout deployments at a larger scale, allowing them to see and control devices and orchestrate system-wide threat response across campus, data center, cloud and operational technology networks.”
As enterprises seek to digitally transform, most are challenged to bring on new technologies and connected devices, while creating a secure network in an environment lacking visibility. Traditional agent-based security solutions are unable to view all devices on the network, specifically IoT and operational technology (OT) devices where agents and traditional approaches cannot be leveraged. Enterprises can benefit from ForeScout’s highly scalable, heterogeneous platform, which provides agentless visibility, control and discovery of traditional and non-traditional devices.
“Customers face the challenge of maintaining a high level of security as they increasingly adopt and integrate new and emerging technologies such as mobile devices and applications, IoT, OT and cloud computing,” said Michael Ebert, partner, KPMG Cybersecurity Practice.
KPMG’s breadth of experience in the cybersecurity space spans a wide range of areas, including network visibility, security and access control. KPMG International was named a Forrester Research leader among security consulting service providers, receiving the highest score of any vendor evaluated in the strategy category.
