Hembree, a senior litigator, serves as Managing Member of the firm’s Jackson office, and practices in the Commercial Litigation section of the firm with a concentration on business litigation and consumer finance. He has more than 30 years of litigation experience in all state and federal courts (including bankruptcy) within Mississippi. He received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1986.
Masley’s primary emphasis is on consumer finance litigation at both the trial and appellate levels and representation of secured creditors at all levels of the bankruptcy process. He has represented virtually every major mortgage servicer, bank, and credit card issuer in defending contested foreclosure and defensive actions under the FCRA, RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, and general state law claims. Masley has also represented virtually every major mortgage servicer and multiple other lenders and lessors in all aspects of consumer bankruptcy cases filed under Chapters 7, 13, and 11 of the Bankruptcy Code and commercial bankruptcy cases under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. He received his J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2005.
Reeves’ practice includes business, corporate, and commercial litigation. He represents financial institutions and lenders, business owners, corporate officers, and shareholders in business, corporate, and commercial litigation, products liability, medical malpractice, shareholder disputes, toxic torts, class actions, title insurance defense, and multidistrict litigation. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2009.
Twiford is a senior litigator and team leader in the firm’s Commercial Litigation section, with almost 45 years of practice experience. He chairs the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation group and the Mississippi Commercial Litigation section. His practice is exclusively devoted to litigation, primarily in federal court, with emphasis on the defense of class actions and mass actions, complex commercial litigation and complex lender liability litigation. He received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1972.
Super Lawyers has listed outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement since the publication’s founding in 1991. To be included in a state publication, lawyers are subject to a nomination process, a peer-review survey by practice area, and independent research on candidates. The top five percent of attorneys in each state, as nominated by their peers, are then reviewed by an independent research team that focuses on professional accomplishments, peer recognition, and community involvement. The Mid-South edition of Super Lawyers and its “Rising Stars” list includes attorneys from Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
