Free Krispy Kreme Donuts and a $2 Dozen Deal This National Doughnut Day
In a recent report by USA Today, on June 7, in observance of the culinary holiday, Krispy Kreme will distribute one complimentary donut of its choosing, with no purchase required. Additionally, for $2, patrons can acquire a dozen original glazed donuts when they buy another dozen donuts at regular prices.
While not limited to time-only offerings such as Dolly Parton's Southern Sweets collection, the complimentary donut does not exclude cake donuts, glazed, frosted, or filled varieties.
"Krispy Kreme fans look forward to National Doughnut Day every year, and this year they can get their favorite for free!" Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer, said in a press release. "It's a sweet day all around. We can't wait to thank everyone for their love of Krispy Kreme doughnuts."
The donut establishment introduced a novel Krispy Kreme Rewards system in April. Ten points are awarded to consumers for each $1 spent through the rewards program. These points, comparable to the previous rewards system, are redeemable for confectionary items and beverages. Coffee, hot chocolate, an original glazed or classic donut, or a dozen glazed or assorted classic donuts can be purchased for 150-250 points or 1400-1700 points, respectively.
In addition to receiving a complimentary birthday delight, members are granted complimentary trials of limited-edition products. Registering for Krispy Kreme Rewards is possible via the bakery's website or app.
In May, the chain publicly announced its partnership with Parton. The line comprises four delectables, each currently available for a restricted duration: the Dolly Dazzler, the Peach Keen Cobbler, the Banana Pudding Pie, and the Chocolate Crème Pie.
The Dolly Dazzler is an original strawberry icing-dipped glazed donut adorned with glitter sprinkled in gold, pink, and white. The Peachy Keen Cobbler, the following fruit-themed donut, is an unglazed variety stuffed with genuine peach filling coated in brown sugar icing and topped with a "crunchy cobbler" topping.
The two pastries that remain are modeled after traditional desserts. Banana Pudding Pie is an unglazed donut filled with banana pudding "Kreme" and wafers that comprise the filling. It is then dipped in yellow icing and crowned with a wafer cookie and white icing swirls. A glazed donut crowned with chocolate brownie cream, whipped vanilla topping, and chocolate cookie crumble constitutes the Chocolate Crème Pie treat.
Krispy Kreme and Dolly Parton Unveil Southern Sweets Collection: Four New Donuts Inspired by Home
Krispy Kreme is showcasing its most recent donut innovations in honor of everything Dolly Parton.
The donut chain and Parton have collaborated to introduce a unique collection of four new pastries, each one a delicious tribute to the flavors of the South, titled the Dolly Southern Sweets.
Parton, who has a deep love for these southern flavors, expressed her excitement about the unique doughnut collection from Krispy Kreme. She shared, “These doughnuts remind me of home. I'm thrilled for people to enjoy them with their loved ones. They're pretty sweet if I do say so myself!”
According to People, as of May 14, stores will carry the adorable, limited-edition morsels packaged in a coordinating dozen-piece box of vibrant hues.
The initial novel donut is a fruit-focused creation: the Dolly Dazzler, an original glazed donut adorned with gold, pink, and white glitter sprinkles and dunked in strawberry icing. There is a Dolly butterfly atop it.
The Peachy Keen Cobbler donut, dipped in brown sugar icing and "topped with a crunchy cobbler" topping, is an unglazed donut stuffed with genuine peach filling.
The other novel, donut from Krispy Kreme and Parton, draws inspiration from a traditional confection. Banana Pudding Pie is an unglazed donut filled with banana pudding "Kreme" and wafers that comprise the filling. It is then dipped in yellow icing and crowned with a wafer cookie and white icing swirls.
