“Frozen 2” is just around the corner and as its release date gets nearer, more details about the film are emerging. Previously, the viewers who were waiting for the sequel to the 2013 hit animation that also made the song “Let It Go” the official global anthem, knows very little about the movie as the production team have been secretive but now, many small details are available and this is enough to excite the fans for the upcoming movie.
Disney also dropped the trailer for “Frozen 2” and it gave some glimpses as to the new look of Elsa and Anna. However, they did not provide many clues on the plot but they started many theories. Most of those who viewed the clip stated the same thing - Elsa has become tougher and she now exudes a darker aura but perhaps, this is because she is about to set out on a mission that will change her and Anna’s life.
Now, to tease fans a bit about “Frozen 2,” Idina Menzel who is Elsa in the movie, gave away some things to expect in their new movie. In one of her interviews, the actress/actress said that fans will see a very different story. It is not the typical fairytale plot anymore but the second sequel would be more like a superhero flick!
“It is real girl power, badass kind of superhero type of movie. They're really strong, the two sisters, and it's exciting,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “It resonates even more today considering that it's a story that is about women finding what makes them extremely powerful and beautiful in their life. It's about not compromising who you are. It's about taking that thing that makes you so powerful and harnessing it and using it to change the world for the better.”
Menzel further hinted that in “Frozen 2” Elsa is someone who is afraid of her superpowers at first but she will later learn how to control it and use in a way that it will be helpful to others. In any case, the actress/singer’s statements almost confirm some of the theories out there.
One example is that Anna will discover her own power in “Frozen 2” and perhaps, she will fight alongside her sister so they can win the battle over something that has not been revealed yet. The guess is that the sisters will be battling some dark force that is related to their parents or ancestors’ disappearance or deaths.
Finally, theories have it that Elsa and Anna’s parents are still alive but they are trapped somewhere and they have set out to find them. They need to use their incredible abilities to reveal the truth and new villains may also crop up along the way. "Frozen 2" is coming to theaters on Nov. 22.
