“Fruits Basket 2019” episode 9 is revealed to be titled “Yuki Was My First Love,” and that information alone gives fans plenty of ideas on what will happen next. The next episode will focus on Yuki Sohma and Hatsuharu Sohma’s relationship.
The title suggests that the highlight of “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 9 is an upcoming conversation between Hatsuharu and Tohru Honda. The latter will learn more about how Hatsuharu and Yuki’s relationship started on a bad note but later became much better.
If “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 9 would follow the events from the original 2001 series, fans can expect the episode to open with another argument between Yuki and Kyo. This small fight will extend to an upcoming marathon at school that Yuki will be joining despite obviously being sick.
Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru will all take part in this marathon. While running, Tohru recognizes sees Hatsuharu and the latter reveals he has been lost for three days before issuing a duel challenge for Kyo in “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 9. Kyo refuses at first until Hatsuharu’s Black personality comes out.
However, they will stop fighting in “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 9 once Yuki’s situation gets worse. After coughing badly several times, Yuki will lose consciousness. Kyo and Hatsuharu will realize that Yuki is having an asthma attack.
Hatsuharu volunteers to be transformed into a cow so that the rat version of Yuki could right on his back with Tohru, and they could rush back home. Later, Hatsuharu tells Tohru that he used to hate Yuki because the rat used to ride on the cow’s back, and it made him look like a fool. But it was Yuki who taught him it was wrong for him to feel that way that led to him being able to manage his rage. At this point, Hatsuharu tells Tohri that Yuki was his first love that explains the title of “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 9.
The 2019 anime series is officially streaming on Funimation. “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 9 will air on Saturday, June 1.
