Filming for “Fuller House” season 4 has officially started, which means more details can be expected in the coming weeks. For one, it has been confirmed that “Full House” alum Dave Coulier is back on set to direct another episode for the Netflix series. Meanwhile, the patriarch, Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), might be getting sick.
A slew of Instagram updates from Coulier himself have confirmed that he is back on the director’s seat for “Fuller House” season 4. Coulier played Joey Gladstone, one of the main roles in “Full House,” from 1987 to 1995.
Although he does not have the same commitment to “Fuller House,” Coulier had been in and out of the set of the sequel series since 2016. His character, Joey, is one of the recurring roles in the franchise and he has directed one episode each in season 2 (“Nutcrackers”) and season 3 (“Surrogate City”).
So far, Dave Coulier has shared behind-the-scenes photos with the younger cast members. Coulier smiled for a photo with Michael Campion, who plays the role of the 13-year-old Jackson Fuller. The actor and director also shared a photo with McKenna Grace, who portrays Rose Harbenberger.
Prior to these photos, Coulier also posted a video with the older cast members of the show shot in the familiar living room set. The “Fuller House” season 4 director and actors shared a funny video as the actors walk out altogether when Coulier asks if they love having him as their director.
Lori Loughlin, who plays Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis, has also been sharing “Fuller House” season 4 behind-the-scenes photos and videos on the same social media platform. And by doing so, the actress might have also dished out a juicy spoiler by accident involving Danny’s fate in “Fuller House” season 4.
ComicBook reports that an expired Instagram story posted by Loughlin showed Danny wearing a hospital gown. Coulier was also seen in the same social media update from Loughlin. This might be a hint that the Tanner patriarch is getting sick in one of the “Fuller House” season 4 episodes — the one which Coulier directed.
Netflix has yet to announce the exact release date for “Fuller House” season 4. But with the production and filming now in full throttle, episodes might start streaming in fall.
