‘Fuller House’ Season 5 News: Lori Loughlin Likely to Get Jail Time; How Will the Show Deal With Becky?

Fuller House

“Fuller House” season 5 has been announced to the series’ last run and all the cast will still be part of the show’s final bow. However, they may miss Lori Loughlin who is known as Aunt Becky in the family comedy sitcom. This is because she was embroiled in college admission bribery scandal and she is now facing charges that could land her in jail.

According to Deadline, Lori Loughlin is highly likely to end up in prison after she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli paid $US500,000 for their daughters to get accepted at the prestigious University of Southern California. It was reported the actress’ children were able to enroll at the said university by either submitting fake athletic records or manipulating their SAT scores.

It was said that the “Fuller House” actress did not enter a plea after appearing in the Boston Federal Court last week. She has been indicted and could end up with imprisonment sentence. Moreover, the publication noted that jail time is likely because of the huge attention that this case has gathered and with the prosecutors being aware of the intense spotlight on the case, they are more determined to hand down an imprisonment sentence if found guilty.

With the case, Lori Loughlin was eliminated from her shows including “Fuller House” season 5. With this, the production team needs to think of a way for Aunt Becky to exit the show and TV Line posted some suggestions at how Mrs. Katsopolis character could be explained in the drama.

Likewise, since the viewers will not see Aunt Becky in “Fuller House” season 5, they could explain her absence by making up a story that says Uncle Jesse’s wife has been charged for bribery as she paid $500,000 someone at the Dept. of Health to alter Nicky and Alex’s fish taco truck’s grade from a D to A. Or, they can make it appear like Becky had to film for weeks in New York so she can’t return home.

Finally, “Fuller House” season 5 can indicate that Aunt Becky is on vacation or she decided to help her niece in her fashion business. The worst case scenario is killing off Lori Loughlin’s character which is least likely to happen because that will be a gloomy ending for the show’s final run.
