FxWirePro: NZD/USD edges lower from session high at 0.7475, momentum bullish
Thursday, September 8, 2016 4:16 AM UTC
- NZD/USD hit fresh highs at 0.7489 last seen since May 2015 on Wednesday's trade.
- The major remained capped below 0.7475 in the Asian session today.
- A slightly upbeat Chinese trade report supports the kiwi. Broad-based USD weakness combined with higher commodities’ prices also underpins.
- Our previous call (http://www.econotimes.com/FxWirePro-NZD-USD-hits-fresh-16-month-high-momentum-bullish-274317) has hit TP1. Recommend holding for targets.
- We see weakness only below 0.74 levels. Break below will then find next major support by 20-DMA at 0.7289.
- Momentum studies are bullish. But caution advised as RSI and Stochs are in highly overbought territory.
- US employment data due later in the NA session, while Friday’s China inflation report will be also closely eyed for next direction.
