FxWirePro: NZD/USD gains as U.S.-Iran peace hopes boost risk sentiment

• NZD/USD strengthened on Monday as hopes that stalled U.S.-Iran peace talks could resume improved global risk sentiment.

• U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly called off planned military strikes, while Iran said it would halt further attacks as long as the United States refrains from additional military action. The developments eased concerns of a broader regional conflict.

• The risk-on mood was reinforced by a 4 % drop in U.S. crude oil prices, easing inflation concerns, while S&P 500 futures rose 0.75%, providing additional support for higher-yielding currencies such as the kiwi dollar.

• The Reserve Bank of New Zealand raised rates to 2.5% earlier this month and markets now expect to see 3.0% by December, and 3.5% by the middle of next year.

•  Immediate resistance is located at 0.5824(50%fib), any close above will push the pair towards 0.5892 (Higher BB).

•  Support is seen at 0.5769(SMA 20)and break below could take the pair towards 0.5715  (38.2%fib).

Recommendation: Good to sell around 0.5810 with stop loss of 0.5870 and target price of 0.5760
