- Australia: Consumer inflation expectation at 4 percent in September. August unemployment rate came at 5.3 percent despite the fact that the participation rate rose by 0.2 percent to 65.7 percent as employment rose by 44,000.
- China: New loans in August came at $1.28 billion. Money supplies up 8.2 percent y/y in August.
Upcoming:
- Germany: August CPI inflation report will be released at 6:00 GMT.
- France: August CPI inflation report will be released at 6:45 GMT.
- Switzerland: PPI inflation report will be released at 7:15 GMT.
- United Kingdom: Bank of England (BoE) will announce rate decision at 11:00 GMT.
- Eurozone: ECB will announce rate decision at 11:45 GMT, followed by a press conference at 12:30 GMT.
- United States: Weekly jobless claims report will be released at 12:30 GMT, along with CPI inflation statistics. Fed’s Quarles is set for a speech at 14:00 GMT and Bostic at 17:15 GMT. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory report at 14:30 GMT. August budget statistics will be released at 18:00 GMT.
- Canada: New house price report will be released at 12:30 GMT.
- New Zealand: Business PMI report will be published at 22:30 GMT.
