- China: NBS manufacturing PMI declined to 50.1 in April from 50.5 in March. Non-manufacturing PMI declined to 54.3 from 54.8. Caixin manufacturing PMI declined to 50.2 from 50.8.
- New Zealand: ANZ business confidence improves marginally in April to -37.5 from -38. ANZ activity outlook index improves to 7.1 percent.
Upcoming:
- France: Q1 GDP report due at 5:30 GMT, followed by CPI and PPI inflation report at 6:45 GMT.
- Germany: Import price inflation report due at 6:00 GMT, along with GFK consumer confidence, and followed by unemployment report at 7:55 GMT.
- Spain: HICP inflation report due at 7:00 GMT, along with Q1 GDP estimate, and followed by March retail sales and February current account report at 8:00 GMT.
- Italy: April HICP inflation due at 9:00 GMT, followed by Q1 GDP estimate at 10:00 GMT.
- Eurozone: Flash Q1 GDP report to be published at 9:00GMT, along with the March unemployment report.
- Canada: Monthly GDP estimate for February to be released at 12:30 GMT. BoC governor Poloz set for a speech at 15:00 GMT.
- United States: S&P/Case-Shiller home price report due at 13:00 GMT, followed by Chicago PMI at 13:45 GMT, and consumer confidence at 14:00 GMT. Pending home sales report also be released at 14:00 GMT.
- New Zealand: Q1 unemployment report due at 22:45 GMT.
