Lots of economic data and events scheduled for today, and some with high volatility risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • New Zealand: ANZ commodity price index up 1.4 percent in March.
     
  • Japan: Services PMI declines to 52 in March.
     
  • Australia: February trade balance came at $4.8 billion, exports showing no growth while imports declined by 1 percent. Retail sales grew 0.8 percent in February.
     
  • China: Caixin services PMI sharply improves to 54.4 in March.

Upcoming:

  • Spain: Services PMI report due at 7:15 GMT.
     
  • Italy: Services PMI report due at 7:45 GMT.
     
  • France: Services PMI report due at 7:50 GMT.
     
  • Germany: Services PMI report due at 7:55 GMT.
     
  • Eurozone: Services PMI report due at 8:00 GMT, followed by retail sales report at 9:00 GMT.
     
  • United Kingdom: Markit services PMI report due at 8:30 GMT.
     
  • United States: MBA mortgage applications report due at 11:00 GMT, followed by ADP employment report at 12:15 GMT, and ISM non-manufacturing PMI at 14:00 GMT. EIA will release its weekly oil inventory report at 14:30 GMT.
