“GTA” 6 is long overdue and it seems that fans still need to wait a little longer as Rockstar Games is busy with other things. It was reported that the main cause of the delay is “Red Dead Redemption 2” as the game developer is currently dedicating more time to its improvement.
While “GTA 6” still not available, information about it is being leaked and shared. Predictions by expert gamers are also extensive, so details about “Grand Theft Auto 6” are not exactly scarce.
For starters, although Rockstar Games rarely gives an update about the “GTA 6” release date, major info leaks and guesswork from gaming experts gave an estimate of when it will be out on the market. They said that since the game publisher just released “Red Redemption 2,” it will surely focus on the development and publication of its DLC packs.
The release of updates for the game will go on for some time, and after this, it can be assumed that “GTA 6” will finally get a release schedule. With the timeframe, the sixth “Grand Theft Auto” would be out by late 2020.
Incidentally, Rockstar Games denied that “GTA 6” is coming out next year. Many gamers reported seeing pop-up notifications that declared 2019 as the racing game’s release date. The false notification was spotted on the Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Rockstar addressed this by replying to an inquiry posted on social media. A Twitter user asked if the notification was for real, and the company replied with the message: “This is a hoax made with the use of mods and not an official message or statement from Rockstar Games.”
So far, the biggest leak for “GTA 6” is probably the game’s setting or location. Game insiders revealed that possible locations that will be included in the game are Chicago, Mexico City, the '70s Vegas and parts of Southern America, Otakukart reported.
Finally, will the characters be the same in “GTA 6?” It may keep some of the old ones, but it is also likely that it will introduce new faces. There are rumors that a female protagonist is coming to the game.
As per Maxim, this will be the first time that “Grand Theft Auto” is adding a female lead. The magazine stated that in the game’s 20-year history, it has not featured any female character with a major role.
