“GTA 6” is one of the most highly anticipated games despite no confirmation from its publisher. OF course, that’s not stopping fans of the successful franchise from hoping that a sequel to one of the best-selling games of all time, the “Grand Theft Auto V,” might already be in the works.
While publisher Rockstar Games did not confirm “GTA 6,” it’s worthwhile to note that it did not dismiss it either. Rather, the company’s co-founder Dan Houser simply mentioned in an interview with GQ back in 2018 that it’s probably not yet the right time to introduce a new game in the franchise at that time, according to Screen Rant.
However, fans remain hopeful that it will eventually arrive. After all, “GTA V” is the third best-selling game of all time that it is inconceivable for Rockstar not to take advantage of its popularity by introducing a sequel. It’s only a matter of time.
Recently, there were rumors that the voice actor of “San Andreas” character CJ, might be reprising his role in “GTA 6.” Unfortunately, the rumors were untrue as Chris Bellard a.k.a. Young MayLay, who voiced Carl “CJ” Johnson, shut down those rumors via Instagram.
“To kill the rumors, I’m not involved in GTA VI at all,” the actor wrote on the platform. “Fucc @Rockstargames period... CJ will have to be voiced by another MF but not me IDGAF what yall heard.”
Of course, Bellard’s post does not mean that CJ won’t be coming in “GTA 6.” As the actor has suggested, the character might be voiced over by another actor.
But is there really some kind of evidence that “GTA 6” is already in the works? Actually, there are indications that the title already exists in some form, according to PC Gamer.
For instance, an artist’s resume from India already listed GTA 6 in his resume. In addition, Rockstar also purchased a large studio in the country that could suggest that the publisher is already getting ready in terms of the art resources for its next title, which might be the “GTA 6.”
Meanwhile, Express put up a few speculations regarding its launch date and setting. “It’s been claimed GTA 6 will be out in 2020, will be a timed PS5 launch exclusive and will be set in Vice City during the 70s and 80s,” the publication wrote.
