Fresh, innovative functionality introduced to the Mobile App with the new Gallagher Mobile Reader, secured the Product of the Year - Access Control award, after the initial release of the Mobile App received the same honour in 2015. This year the judges were impressed with the increased flexibility of the combined Mobile App and Reader, allowing implementation of access control anywhere, greatly expanding the reach of security operations on site.
Craig Schutte, General Manager, Australia, said the award was a great honour, highlighting Gallagher’s significant investment in research and development. “Gallagher are always striving to go beyond traditional security thinking, developing products to provide real operational benefit and value for our customers.
“The combination of the award-winning Mobile App with the new Gallagher Mobile Reader is a perfect example of this, providing a solution for situations where traditional access control couldn’t otherwise be deployed.”
Gallagher’s success continued at the awards with a second placing for its F4 Fence Controller in the Product of the Year - Alarms category. The F4 Fence Controller is the next generation in high-performance control for the Gallagher monitored pulse fence system, recognised for its ability to deliver maximum intruder deterrent and provide superior detection capabilities, while exceeding global safety standards.
A joint nomination between Gallagher and AG Security Group also received high praise, with a second placing in the Special Event or Project over $200,000 category for the security upgrade at SA Water’s Glenelg Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project provided a fully-integrated security solution using Gallagher technology and delivered by AG Security Group, to secure and protect a high value civil infrastructure asset.
