‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Updates: Major Spoilers Leaked from Filming Set Suggest Epic Greyjoy Sea Battle; Angela Lansbury Not in New Cast

Lena Headey plays Cersei Lannister on HBO's 'Game of Thrones'

‘Game of Thrones’ is rumored to feature an epic sea battle between Euron Greyjoy and his relatives Yara and Theon. The yet unconfirmed spoilers based on the series’ latest filming locations also includes an unexpected alliance between Euron and Cersei. Meanwhile, Angela Lansbury of ‘Muder, She Wrote’ fame will not be joining the new cast.

According to Express, new spoilers suggest that the incoming season of HBO’s fantasy television series ‘Game of Thrones’ is set to feature a massive sea battle between the Greyjoys.

Filming locations for 'Game of Thrones' revealed that an unexpected alliance between Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) will be formed. A fan spoiler from Watchers on the Wall alleged that the two characters will join forces for an imminent battle between Euron and his niece Yara (Gemma Whelan) and nephew Theon (Alfie Allen), who narrowly escaped the Iron Islands following Euron’s take over as the new leader of House Greyjoy following the murder of their father.

It was also suggested that Euron will kill off one of the Sand Snakes, the noble-born bastard daughters of Oberyn Martell of Dorne (Pedro Pascal). The rumors are yet to be confirmed.

Euron was last seen planning a strategic alliance through marriage with Daenerys Stormborn (Emilia Clarke). It seems that it may not come into fruition should the theories be believed. Cersei was also last seen taking over the Iron Throne as the new ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

Meanwhile, it was previously rumored that Dame Angela Lansbury has joined the new cast in a mysterious role. The 90-year old British actress earned international acclaim for her role as fictional writer and sleuth Jessica Fletcher of the television series ‘Murder, She Wrote’, which became one of the longest-running and most popular detective series in the history of television.

However, according to The Telegraph, the actress’ representatives denied Lansbury’s involvement in the upcoming season. However, British star Jim Broadbent is confirmed to appear in a yet unnamed role. Broadbent is an Academy Award-winning actor best known for his work on several films such as ‘Moulin Rouge!’, ‘Iris’, and the ‘Bridget Jones’ cinematic series.

‘Game of Thrones’ is a fantasy and drama television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss for HBO. It is based on George R. R. Martin’s best-selling books ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’.

The series broke several viewership records and earned numerous accolades including 26 Primetime Emmy Awards since its premiere on April 2011. Season 7 is scheduled to arrive on the summer of 2017 and will consist of seven episode instead of the usual 10-episode run.
