George Clooney is said to have banned Margot Robbie from any of his projects. He made it clear that he doesn’t want to work with the “Suicide Squad” star even if she is the most in-demand actress among the A-list actors.
Margot Robbie has worked with the likes of Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, and more. However, one A-lister, which is George Clooney, refused to work with her in any of his future projects.
The reason for blacklisting Margot
This week, New Idea published an article titled “Shock claim: George "backlists" Margot!” and it was claimed that George Clooney originally wants to do a movie with Margot Robbie as well. But his decision all changed, and he vowed never to work with her again.
The “Batman” actor is said to have made this decision because Margot is set to work with director David O. Russel. It turned out that Clooney and the director butted heads while working in the “Three Kings.”
“It’s not Margot’s fault,” the source told the magazine, “It’s who she hangs out with that’s the problem. Her signing pretty much slams the door on George having any association with her in the future.”
The 30-year-old will be working with Russell in a film that will pair her with Christian Bale. The plot of this comedy movie is still being kept under wraps.
It was added that Margot Robbie just joined the list of actors that George Clooney doesn’t want to work with like Mark Wahlberg. The actor has beef with Wahlberg because he did not take his side when he and Russell were fighting on the set of “Three Kings.”
“It was pretty vicious but George and David have been public enemies number one ever since – and anyone associated with David is banned from George’s circle,” the tipster said.
George Clooney’s ban on Margot debunked
This story from New Idea is not true as per Gossip Cop. George Clooney did not state that he will not work with Margot Robbie ever. Plus, the alleged cause why he banned Margot is not valid anymore because he and Russell have already patched things up a long time ago.
And if ever, he is still upset with Russell, George Clooney will never be upset with a co-star who happened to work with someone he had a conflict with in the past. Also, there is no animosity between him and Mark Wahlberg so it is clear that this report is totally false.
