Web3-based environmental tech startup GesiaPlatform announced on Friday that it officially launched ‘Net Zero Heroes,’ a mobile application designed to incentivize individual actions for carbon neutrality.
The app enables users to log daily eco-friendly activities — such as using tumblers, adopting plant-based meals, or using public transportation — and receive digital points called NZP (Net Zero Points). These points are calculated using Climo.AI, an AI-based engine that quantifies carbon reduction based on user activity.
Accumulated points can be converted into NZC tokens through the in-app Net Zero Wallet, and potentially exchanged for tangible assets such as cash or carbon credits, according to the company. The app also visualizes each user's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts through personalized profiles and offers community-based challenges and ranking systems to promote consistent participation.
"This is more than a rewards app. It’s a platform that turns personal climate action into data and connects it with real-world value," a GesiaPlatform spokesperson said. “Net Zero Heroes especially targets the MZ generation (millennials and Gen Z), encouraging them to engage in sustainable practices through a gamified experience.”
The launch is part of a broader ESG initiative called the ‘Net Zero Media Campaign,’ jointly announced in April by GesiaPlatform and leading blockchain media outlet Tokenpost. The campaign seeks to link media content consumption with environmental actions through digital incentives.
Tokenpost stated that it is working to integrate Net Zero Heroes into its media services to encourage reader engagement in carbon reduction and explore reward-based news experiences.
Net Zero Heroes is available for free on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
