The arrival of a new MacBook is always an exciting affair for fans of the popular laptop from Apple, and unboxing one always comes with the pleasant experience that is the new Mac smell. Now, a maker of accessories for Apple products is offering brand new candles, which it claims will make that scent accessible at any time.
As 9-to-5Mac notes, it would appear that a lot of people love the smell of a newly bought Apple product. The scent itself is difficult to describe, but it’s generally agreed among fans that there’s something intoxicating about it. This is what TwelveSouth claims to have captured with their product called “New Mac Soy Candle.”
The candle costs $24 and comes with free shipping for customers within the U.S., and is apparently made completely of soy wax. It also comes with a hint of mint, mixed with some peach as well as basil. Combined with some other ingredients, the company guarantees 100% Mac scent, at least according to its website.
“If you think you've seen everything, here's a new one... Ever open up a new Mac box and smell it? (or is that just us?) We took that scent - and literally bottled it,” TwelveSouth writes. “Meet the New Mac Soy Candle. No kidding. It's kind of awesome.”
Those who aren’t exactly fans of the MacBook or aren’t as dedicated to it as many of Apple’s most fervent followers are, thinking that this fad is never going to work would be understandable. They would be wrong since the product proved to be so popular that it’s sold out for the moment, Mac Rumors reports.
The company is intending to restock the candles as soon as possible, so interested buyers won’t likely need to wait long. In fact, more supplies of the product will likely be available by the end of the month.
