Want to see more “Gilmore Girls” after that crazy revelation in “A Year In The Life”?
The cliffhanger scene in the finale episode of the “Gilmore Girls” revival on Netflix showed Rory (Alexis Bledel) telling her mom Lorelai (Lauren Graham) that she is pregnant. Although all points to Rory’s on-and-off again boyfriend Logan (Matt Czuchry), both mom and daughter are coming up with theories as to who the real father of the baby is.
When asked about the father’s true identity, Graham said she’d never confess. She told E!, "I could never say that because I would be murdered in a Starbucks by the other team. So, I would like to live a little longer."
It also looks like that she doesn’t want to know either, although she jokingly guessed that it could be the guy in the Wookie costume Rory had slept with one time. She said in another interview, "I honestly never asked the question and I didn’t want the answer because I know that Amy and Alexis have an agreed upon truth. But I really methoded out on that one because I was like, 'Lorelai didn’t know at the end and neither do I!' I think also, if there were ever even some sort of reunion, I would never want to blow that. Because she clearly didn't want to leave it completely answered."
But it could be the motivating factor for her to come on board again to film more concluding episodes. She said, "All I can tell you is all I could tell you between 2009 and 2015, which is I don't know. I'm always the last to know. I loved doing this on Netflix. It was honestly my favorite days of my life that I've ever had and I'm in love with [Amy Sherman Palladino and Dan Palladino's] writing. I, on the one hand I could do it forever, but then you have to step back and consider what's best for the show and what's best for what they want to do…You never want to stay too long. I think the way we got to do it was perfect. I want more too. If it's good for the show, I guess."
