MCLEAN, Va., May 09, 2017 -- Gladstone Investment Corporation (NASDAQ:GAIN) (the “Company”) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell 2,100,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $9.38 per share, raising $19.7 million in gross proceeds and approximately $18.6 million in net proceeds after payment of underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated expenses of the offering payable by the Company. The Company has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 315,000 additional shares of common stock on the same terms and conditions solely to cover over-allotments, if any. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and the shares are expected to be delivered on May 12, 2017. Janney Montgomery Scott LLC and Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., a subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to repay outstanding borrowings under its revolving credit facility and for other general corporate purposes.
