MIAMI, Feb. 14, 2017 -- Hispanicize Event: For better and for worse, virtual reality and augmented reality are finally here and the world as we know it will never be the same.
In a major coup, Hispanicize 2017 will lead the multicultural communications industry forward this April 4 with a major town hall that will feature some of the world’s leading authorities on virtual reality and augmented reality, including: Nonny de la Peña, the "Godmother of VR" and Founder of Emblematic Group and Evelyn Miralles, Principal Engineer and lead VR innovator for NASA's Virtual Reality Laboratory (VRLab).
Titled “Welcome to the Virtual Revolution! How Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality Will Change Our World,” the interactive town hall will also feature thought leaders Abi Mandelbaum, CEO of YouVisit; Michael Ibrahim, Director of Innovation Products at Media Labs; NBCUniversal Borja Perez, SVP Digital & Social Media at NBCUniversal; and Cathy Hackl, Founder of Latinos in VR/AR and CCO of Future Lighthouse.
“VR and AR are going to disrupt how brands, journalists, creators and entertainers engage, perceive and communicate so this town hall with global authorities who are literally changing the world is arguably the single most important session we’ve possibly ever presented at Hispanicize,” said Manny Ruiz, CEO of the Hispanicize Media Group that owns the Hispanicize event. “This year we’re going all in into VR and AR, and it’s going to be very impactful.”
As part of the event’s deep dive into virtual reality, augmented reality and 360 video, Hispanicize 2017 will also feature a keynote at the Hispanicize CMO Summit by Miralles, a large virtual reality lounge, an early U.S. Hispanic-focused case study presented by Telemundo for its telenovela “El Chema” as well as three days of drone video and 360-video trainings.
Hispanicize 2017 Week will feature more than 200+ speakers in 100+ sessions, workshops, fireside chats and keynotes. Hispanicize 2017 also includes the 2nd annual DiMe Summit, the 4th annual Positive Impact Awards gala and the 3rd annual Tecla Awards.
