Global Geopolitical Series: Arab citizenship Trump’s next probable move for Palestinians

According to insiders who are familiar with U.S. President Donald Trump’s ‘Deal of the Century’, ensuring citizenships to Palestinian refugees in some of the Arab countries are the next big steps in the deal, which could be announced as early as the first quarter of next year. The plans would reportedly involve countries like Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, which already host thousands of Palestinian refugees.

To advance the plan, a U.S. special delegation led by President Trump’s trusted advisor and son in law Jared Kushner would be visiting the Middle East to talk to the involved countries. The insider also suggests that deals on the matter are likely to get reached. If it takes place, it would be Trump administration’s third major move after recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and cutting down fund flows to PA leaders via United Nations’ Relief Work Agency (UNRWA) for Palestinian refugees.

Insiders also suggest that Jordan will be the first country to agree to the plan.
