Global Geopolitical Series: Trump to announce gift for Palestinians after Jerusalem gift to Israel

A gift for the Palestinians very likely to be on the way, which will sweeten president Trump’s ‘deal of the century’ for the Palestinians where the President envisions bringing peace to broader Middle East by resolving the decade-old conflicts between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

While many criticized President’s Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, speaking at a rally in West Virginia, President Trump defended his decision saying that it is helping the peace cause since Jerusalem has always been the sticking point. Speaking to the rally, he announced that the Palestinians would soon get something good in exchange for the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. According to him, this is now Palestinians’ turn as according to him, Israel would now have to pay more as Jerusalem was a great gift for them.

Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is working with other top administration officials on a comprehensive peace plan for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The team has said that neither side will be entirely satisfied with its contents but refuses to say when it will be released.
